# Delivery zones, time windows and fees for a flower shop

Priroda, the flower-shop management software from priroda.tech, lets the florist draw the shop's delivery zones on a map, give each zone a price for each delivery schedule, set the weekly time windows and the days without delivery, and then quotes the fee automatically for a phone order and on the online store from the same rules.

## What makes delivery pricing hard

- "How much to Bouzas? And to Nigrán?" is answered differently by each person at the counter.
- The website charges a flat fee that loses money on far addresses and scares off near ones.
- The shop delivers on Saturday mornings only, but the online store lets customers pick Sunday.

## How it works in Priroda

1. In **Settings → Delivery**, draw each **zone** as a polygon on the Google map. Zones stack: a zone drawn on top of another wins where they overlap, so a cheap centre zone can sit inside a wider, dearer one and the areas tile exactly.
2. Define the **delivery schedules**: weekly service windows with time slots, plus days off and exceptions for holidays.
3. Give each **zone and schedule pair a price**, optionally a **minimum order**, and an expected time. A zone with no schedule is closed, and the app says so.
4. When an order is created at the counter or by phone, the address is matched to a zone and the **fee is quoted** automatically.
5. On the **online store**, checkout offers only the bookable days and hours, prices delivery from the same zones, and enforces the minimum order of the tier.
6. The **delivery cost** the shop actually paid (a courier, fuel) is recorded on the order next to the fee charged, so the delivery report shows whether delivery makes or loses money.

## What gets recorded

The zones and their prices per schedule, the windows and exceptions, each order's zone, fee and cost, and the delivery report by period.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do I need a list of postcodes?
No. Zones are drawn freehand on the map, so they can follow the real streets the shop serves.

### Can a customer far away still order for pickup?
Yes. Pickup at the shop is always available; zones only govern delivery.

### Does each shop location have its own zones?
Yes. Zones and schedules belong to the location, so a shop with two premises sets each one separately.
